There was marked excitement in the air on Wednesday, 21 September,2022 as the Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun Central for the 2023 election, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu (SAS) met with all the Community Development Committees ( CDCs) across the six Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the district.
Coming a day after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released the name of Salisu alongside 1,100 other senatorial candidates nationwide for the 2023 General Elections, leaders of the CDCs resolved to work for his victory at the poll.
They appraised his track record in Ogun State in the last 11 years as Deputy Chief of Staff and later the Chief of Staff and returned the verdict that he has the clout and requisite experience to give Ogun Central quality representation as Senator.
Addressing the CDC members during the meeting held at Odeda Local government secretariat, Odeda , Alhaji Salisu assured them that he would bring dividends of democracy to the Senatorial District if elected, just as he promised to initiate and sponsor bills that would improve the quality of life of the people.
The Senatorial Candidate had previously earned the endorsement of market men and women from different markets in Ogun Central as their sole candidate for the 2023 Senatorial poll in the district.
