Two people were confirmed dead in an auto crash involving ex-World Heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway early Monday.
Joshua however had a lucky escape, though he had minor injuries from the crash.
The accident occured at Makun area of the express road.
According to preliminary reports, the vehicle conveying Joshua collided with another car under circumstances that are yet to be fully determined.
An eyewitness who spoke and also participated in rescue efforts confirmed that Joshua escaped with minor injuries, while two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders and security personnel were said to have arrived shortly after the crash to manage the situation and commence investigations. The identities of the deceased victims have not yet been officially released.
