Mr. Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate on the ticket of the Labour Party, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Obi, an erstwhile Anambra governor, announced the decision on Wednesday, December 31, 2026, at an elaborate event held at the Nike Lake Resort, Enugu.
“We are ending this year with the hope that in 2026 we will begin a rescue journey,” Obi said.
“We will resist rigging of election by every lawful means in 2027.”
Leading ADC members like Senator Aminu Tambuwal and others witnessed the defection.
