The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja,  has postponed the installation ceremony for Mogajis and Baales earlier slated for Monday, June 15, 2026.

The postponement follows the death of Oba Dada John Isioye, who passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026.

According to a statement from the Olubadan Palace, the decision was taken as a mark of honour and respect for the late monarch, whose service and contributions to the traditional institution and the wider society were described as invaluable.

As a result, the installation ceremony has been rescheduled for Monday, June 22, 2026, while the venue and time remain unchanged.

The Palace expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause and appealed for the understanding and cooperation of all affected families, dignitaries, well-wishers, and other stakeholders.

The statement reaffirmed the Olubadan’s commitment to upholding the values and traditions of Ibadanland while paying due respect to the memory of the departed royal father.
