The Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations and the senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has commended the Founder of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, for his steadfast advocacy for good governance and constitutional reforms.
Adeola, who is the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for Ogun State, gave the commendation on Sunday in Lagos while serving as Chief Presenter at the public presentation of Bakare’s new book, Strategic Intervention in Governance (Volumes I-III).
The event, which was held at the Citadel Global Community Church, Ikeja, was attended by clerics, politicians, scholars and members of the church.
Adeola, who attended the ceremony alongside his wife, Mrs. Temitope Adeola, described Bakare as a courageous statesman and respected cleric whose interventions have continued to shape conversations around Nigeria’s democratic growth.
He said, “Dr. Tunde Bakare is a courageous statesman, respected cleric and passionate advocate of accountability, constitutional reforms and national development, whose contributions have continued to shape conversations on Nigeria’s democratic growth.”
The senator said the three-volume publication is a timely intervention in the discourse on leadership and governance, adding that it offers practical insights for public office holders, aspiring leaders and citizens committed to nation-building.
According to him, effective governance must be anchored on integrity, transparency, accountability and measurable impact on the lives of the people.
Drawing from his legislative experience, Adeola reiterated his commitment to responsible leadership, prudent management of public resources and people-centred development through purposeful legislation and effective oversight.
He congratulated Bakare on the successful launch of the book and expressed confidence that it would serve as an enduring resource for leaders, policymakers and scholars seeking solutions to Nigeria’s governance challenges.
