‘PFIPC’: Gbajabiamila responds to ICPC invitation over ongoing investigation into fake agency

The Chief of Staff to the President,
Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, appeared before the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Monday afternoon [July 20, 2026] in connection with the ongoing investigation into the fraudulent entity known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

The development was confirmed in a statement released on Monday by his legal counsel, Jiti Ogunye, the Principal Counsel of Jiti Ogunye Chambers.

According to the statement, Gbajabiamila arrived at the anti-graft agency’s headquarters at approximately 3:00 PM (15:00hrs).

His appearance followed a direct directive from  President  Bola Tinubu for full cooperation with the ICPC’s probe into the fake agency.

During the session, the Chief of Staff reportedly provided his testimony and answered questions from investigators regarding the activities of the fake ‘PFIPC’ organization.

Ogunye emphasized that his client acted in total compliance with the law and the presidency’s mandate for transparency.

Following the conclusion of his briefing with the commission, Gbajabiamila immediately returned to his official duty post.

In full cooperation with the ICPC acting as directed by the President of Nigeria, I hereby confirm that my client, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, responded to the invitation of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and appeared at about 15:00hrs on Monday, July 20, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the ‘PFIPC’ fake agency, among others.

My client gave his testimony, responded to questions accordingly, and has returned to his duty post.
