NNPC Limited’s Focal, NNPC Gas Master Plan Implementation Assurance Team, Ekpei Ukam, yesterday, Wednesday, 8th July, 2026, headlined a Strategic Panel Session, themed “Realising Future Gas Economies – Building Secure, Integrated and Globally Competitive Hubs”, at the NOG Energy Week in Abuja.
In his submission, Ukam noted that secure and globally competitive gas hubs rest on three requirements: integrated infrastructure covering pipeline, processing and distribution networks; policy and regulatory alignment to attract investment; and data and assurance to track Gas Master Plan implementation and ensure projects are bankable.
Explaining that building globally competitive gas hubs in Nigeria will depend on those three elements, Ukam added that the NNPC Gas Master Plan provides a commercially driven, execution-anchored roadmap to position Nigeria as a competitive gas hub serving domestic industry, the region and international markets.
