The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State on Monday, July 6, 2026, convened a high-level Strategic Stakeholders Meeting in Abeokuta as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The meeting brought together key party leaders and major stakeholders to strengthen unity and strategize for the upcoming polls.

In attendance were Governor Dapo Abiodun; the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi); Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Daisi Elemide; Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu (Ogun Central); Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi; Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, OFR; former Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salimot Badru; Ogun State APC Organizing Secretary, Mr. Yemi Adelani; and several other prominent party leaders.
Discussions focused on critical issues including party cohesion, inclusiveness, internal reconciliation, and strategies to ensure a united front as the APC positions itself for continued dominance in the state.
The meeting is seen as a significant step in consolidating the ruling party’s structure and addressing potential challenges well ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
