The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has urged secondary school students to embrace opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
She gave the charge while delivering the keynote address at the STEM Education Programme organised by Rockcity FM and the Rockcity Centre for Media & Leadership Development.
Speaking to the students, the deputy governor, who is also an engineer, shared her personal journey into STEM and encouraged young people—especially girls—to pursue careers in science and technology with confidence.
She also commended the organisers, led by Niran Malaolu, for creating a platform aimed at inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators who will help shape Nigeria’s future.
