NCDMB receives leadership of  African Petroleum Producers’ Organization

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), led by its Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, alongside the Director of Corporate Services, Dr. Abdulmalik Halilu, received the leadership of the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO) led by its Secretary General, H. E. Farid Ghezali, at the Board’s liaison office in Abuja, Thursday 5th February 2026, to advance discussions on the launch of the APPO Bank and areas of strategic cooperation.

During the engagement, Engr. Ogbe emphasized the importance of transparency, objectivity and strong governance in the bank launch process, reaffirming NCDMB’s commitment to supporting the initiative without seeking undue control or influence.

He stressed that credibility, fairness and clear processes are critical to building trust among member countries and ensuring the long-term success of the bank.

The meeting also explored opportunities for local content development, capacity building and regional collaboration, including leveraging Nigeria’s training academy, developing an interactive platform for African-certified companies and promoting equitable project benefits across member states.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to disciplined execution and stronger African market integration under the AfCFTA framework.
