Former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki has been appointed Chairman of a seven man committed charged with preparing for a rancour-free National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)scheduled for May 27th and the forthcoming National Convention.
Saraki, former two-term Governor of Kwara State and six other leaders of party were charged with the responsibilities at a meeting of the PDP Governors Forum, attended by its serving and former governors, at the Bauchi Governor’s Lodge on Sunday night.
Other members of the committee are Dauda Lawal, Caleb Muftwang, and Peter Mba, governors of Zamfara, Plateau and Enugu States respectively.
Also appointed to serve in the committee are Sen. Seriake Dickson, Sen. Ibrahim Dankwambo, and former governor of Abia State, Chief Okezie Ikpeazu.
