Zamfara lawmaker shot dead by bandits in Katsina …Son, driver in captivity

A member of the Zamfara House of Assembly, Mohammed Ahmed, has been shot dead by bandits along Sheme- Funtua Road in Katsina State.
Clerk of the Zamfara House House of Assembly, Saidu Anka, who announced the death ,said Ahmed was traveling to his town when he was killed by the bandits.
His funeral prayers would be performed at Sheikh Ahmed Umar Kanoma Mosque by 11 o’clock on Wednesday.
The lawmaker was until his death the chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation.
The Shield Online learnt that his son and driver are still being held by the bandits.
 The deceased  was said to be going to drop his son in Kano to catch a fight to Sudan to resume school.
