A new set of executive has emerged to pilot the affairs of the Oyo District of The Companion, an association of Muslim men in business and the professions.

Announcing this in a press statement on Tuesday was M. A. Imran ESQ
Publicity Secretary of the District.

According to him, “The Companion, Oyo district convened its elective conference today, Sunday 9th August, 2020. The event which was held at MUSWEN secretariat had in attendance members of The Companion in the district, National Executives and members from other districts.

“The Shurah committee, headed by Alhaji Mojeed Imran reported the nomination and appointments of the following as the new members of the District Executive Council:

1. Alhaji Nurain Zakhariyah – Amir
2. Dr. Abass AbdusSalaam -Naibul Amir
3. Mallam Munir Oloriaje -Secretary
4. Alhaji A. Adeleke – Financial Secretary
5. Mallam Sofir Omonigba- Treasurer
6. Mujeeb A Imran Esq – Publicity Secretary

“The new Amir, Alhaji Nurain Zakhariyah, in his address thanked the outgoing executives for their selfless service to Allah’s religion and appreciated the efforts of those who have contributed in no small measure the development of the association.

“He promised that the new executives will give their best to the association and build on the efforts of the pervious administrations.

“The Association takes this opportunity to remind all Nigerians on the need to continue to obey all safety protocols outlined by the NCDC and the Presidential task force on COVID-19 including social distancing, regular hand hygiene and the use of face masks among others. The association prays that Allah takes away the pandemic raging the world soon.”
