A few days after commencement of the All Progressives Congress(APC) revalidation exercise, which is expected to round off in Katsina state by February ending, the party has been hit with the scarcity of membership cards in some parts of Katsina State, Katsina Post learnt.
This according to our findings is not unconnected to the trooping of members to collect their cards and alleged hoarding of the cards by some officials of the party in the state.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari flagged-off of the revalidation of the APC registration in his ward in Daura sometimes ago.
But Katsina Post checks confirmed that only 100 cards were supplied to the each poling units across the state, which according to many is too small.
The Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, SGS, Mustapha Mohammad Inuwa, who noted a scarcity of APC cards while revalidating his membership at Ungwar Madi B, Danmusa Ward A of Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State, was however strongly assured of efforts to restock the cards from Abuja.
Senator Hadi Sirika too who revalidated his APC membership at his political ward of Sirika ‘B’ on Sunday noted the shortage of the cards and assured the party faithfuls to exercise some patience as more are coming.
He predicted the party is poised to clinch the 2023 general elections.
