The Committee of Vice-Chancellors a n d Registrars of Private Universities ( C V C R PU) h a s commended the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, for the role he has been playing in the elevation of the standard of education in Nigeria.
The latest edition of JAMBulletin made available to The Shield Online by JAMB Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin said the commendation was contained in a letter of appreciation signed by the Chairman, CVCRPU, and Vice-Chancellor, Edwin Clark University, Prof. T. O Olagbamero.
The letter reads in part: On behalf of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of Private Universities, I wish to express our deepest gratitude for your continuous support towards our efforts to progressively elevate the standard of education in Nigeria.”
The letter continues: “We are grateful for the approval given at your meeting with all Vice-Chancellors on Monday, 10th August, 2020, to commence our respective admission processes for the 2020/2021 Academic Session. Decisions taken at the meeting have been considered very favourable to Private Universities which are eager to carry out their admission exercises.”
“Your assurance of support from JAMB in facilitating the admission process in this challenging period is highly appreciated.”
The Chairman concluded by saying: “We are indeed very grateful for this unflinching expression of support for the growth of Private Universities in the country which has given us the impetus to strive for quality education in our Universities.”
