NICE seeks partnership with Nasarawa State Youth and Sport Ministry

Nasarawa Industry for Creative Entertainment, NICE, has sought partnership with the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to enable it actualise its aspirations of helping the youth of the state to become models and brand ambassadors.


Chief Executive Officer of NICE, Comrade Stephen Shammah, who led the State Executive Members of the group to the office of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Othman Bala Adam, disclosed that the partnership was necessary owing to the roles the Ministry plays in the development of youths of the state.

He said “We are here to intimate you of our forthcoming programme which will air on television for three months and other activities of ours.

“We are also here to seek partnership with the Ministry, in any way possible, to help us actualise our goals which centre mostly on talents hunt, branding and image projection of our dear state to the world”, the CEO stated.

In his remarks, the Commissioner, thanked the leadership of NICE for the visit, describing the entertainment industry as a mirror to reflect on the huge cultural and social heritage of Nasarawa State.

“Thank you for finding the Ministry worthy to seek partnership with us.

“The entertainment industry is one which can mop-up a lot of youths from the streets, and project the state in good light to the world, and this, the current administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule is taking very fundamentally.

“Nasarawa State has great young talents who, when properly channelled, will add great values to the state and larger society.”

The Commissioner explained that the Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, would soon release a policy document that would cater for the needs and yearnings of youths of the State.

Othman Bala, however, assured NICE that the Ministry was disposed to its partnership request as its vision and mission are in tandem with the Ministry’s purpose of establishment.

“I want to assure you that we are going to partner with NICE, and guide you as well as do the needful so that your goals and aspirations are met”, he concluded.
