Kwara TESCOM boss warns teachers against indolence

The Executive Chairman of Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mall Bello Tauheed Abubakar has charged teachers in the state to redouble their efforts in discharging their duties.

A statement signed by the Press Secretary of the Commission, Mr Peter Amogbonjaye, said the commission’s chairman gave the advice when he paid unscheduled visits to some schools in Ilorin, the state capital, today .

The Excecutive Chairman, who warned teachers against indolence, enjoined them to be steadfast and committed to their jobs with a view to complementing government’s efforts in ensuring quality and sound education.

Mallam Bello who frowned at the lackadaisical attitude of some teachers in some of the schools visited, encouraged them to justify their salaries by being committed to their jobs.

He warned that the present administration would not tolerate any act of laziness and indolence, saying that the government would not hesitate to bring to book  on anyone found wanting.

He, therefore, advised them to be up and doing by attaching importance to their work with a view to complementing  government’s efforts in making sure that the children of the common man becomes notable in the society.

Schools visited by the Chairman included: Government Day Secondary School, Fate; Muyideen  Arabic Secondary School, Kulende and Sango Senior Secondary School all in Ilorin South Local Government Area of the state.
