Katsina Emir dismisses district head for aiding bandits, banditry

The report of the committee constituted by the Katsina Emirate Council to investigate the alleged relationship with bandits with the Sarkin Pauwan Katsina, district head of Kankara has indicted him.

Consequently, the Emirate council under the leadership of the Emir of Katsina, has announced the dismissal of the district head, Alh. Yusuf Lawal.

The Sarkin Yakin Katsina, Alh. Bello Mamman Ifo, told newsmen that the district head was found guilty of all the charges leveled against him.

The emirate official spokesman, Sarkin Labarai, Alh. Ibrahim Iro Bindawa, also confirmed that the Emir of Katsina, Alh. Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman, ordered the sacking of the district head.

Recall that the Emirate constituted a high level committee chaired by the Kauran Katsina, district head of Rimi, to investigate the matter earlier.

The committee, Katsina Post learnt that, after meeting with the security officials and other stakeholders especially from Kankara district found Alh. Yusuf Lawal guilty of aiding and siding with bandits and kidnappers operating in his domain.
