IBM appoints Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh First African Regional Head

The leading technology firm, IBM has appointed Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh as Regional Head for North, East and West Africa.

She will be responsible for IBM operations in over 40 countries in Africa including Morocco,  Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda, Ghana and Tunisia.

Angela is a Ghanian business leader and a former IBM Country General Manager for Ghana.

She is the first female to become country director of IBM in Africa and the first African and female to be appointed Regional General Manager.

Angela holds a BA in Marketing and French. She is an alumna of Harvard Business School.

Angela has 20 years extensive working experience in the financial services and technology industries in Africa and Europe. In 2011 she joined IBM as the Territory Marketing Manager responsible for IBM West Africa. She later moved to Nairobi, Kenya as Strategy Leader for IBM’s Central, East and West Africa operations.

In her acceptance remark on her new role, she writes,

“I’m humbled to be taking on the role of Regional General Manager IBM North, East & West Africa. Technology is promoting growth in Africa and IBM is committed to supporting the continent with our state of the art technologies so it emerges stronger. Merci pour tous les souhaits!”
