Chairman Jos-South Local Government Area of Plateau State ,Hon (Amb) Gideon Dung Davou has advocated international peace award for the state Governor, Dr Simon Bako Lalong.
On why Lalong deserves such award, Davou in a statement contended that “His immense and immeasurable peace initiatives he initiated for the overall well-being of Plateau State, since his coming on board are quite apt, revolutionary and legendary.
“His administrative dexterity, pro-active leadership style, politics of inclusiveness, equal rights and opportunity for all the zones in Plateau State, are qualities that endeared him to Plateau people at the grass-root level and beyond. His sense of equity, Fairness and justice in the distribution of State resources, Quite Commendable and superlative.
“His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Simon Bako Lalong is a shining star amongst his peers in the firmament. His humble disposition and meekness of heart to the down trodden are qualities that are commendable and worthy of emulation. In the words of former American President. Ronald Reagan, when he said “Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to resolved conflict by peaceful means”. Rt. Hon. Dr. Simon Bako Lalong’s intellectual prowess and sagacity, couple with his experience, as a former speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, a grass-root oriented politician, has been brought to bear in achieving the much desire peace on the Plateau.
“Rt. Hon. Dr. Simon Bako Lalong as the leader of the Rescue administration in Plateau State, his numerous peace building initiatives could be seen in the light of world leaders like Dr. Rohilala Mandela, Sir Luthuli of South Africa, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana, popularly called “Osagyfor- the saviour” in this regards, I am making a clarion to the united nation to bestowed “international noble peace award on His Excellency Rt Hon. Dr simon Bako lalong, because of his relentlessly vigor in bringing back to Plateau State sustenable peace and tranquity, in line with the vision of the founding fathers of our dear Plateau geared towards greater Plateau State.”
