Ganduje shocked over death of associate, Abdurrashid Abdullahi (Doubler)

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has expressed shock over the death of a political associate, Alhaji Abdurrashid Abubakar, alias Doubler.
Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar on behalf of his boss said  “With great sense of shock and deeper feeling, the Kano state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje commiserates with the families of Abdurrashid Abubakar, alias Doubler, over his death.
“In less than 24 hours ago, the governor visited the deceased in his hospital bed, at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Shahuci, Kano.
“It was just yesterday that I visited this loyal son of ours, who was admitted few days back. We were there with members of the state Executive Council and other notable personalities. His death is a great shock to all of us,” he mourns.
“The shock of his death, according to the governor, would be “…with us forever. He was friendly, peaceful, determined, committed to self-independence and he passed away when our dear state needed him the most.”
Governor Ganduje relayed that, “It is therefore on behalf of the state government and people of Kano state, that I am extending this condolence message to his immediate family, friends and well wishers.
“Abdurrashid Abubakar was a gentleman and somebody who always talked about youth empowerment and peaceful coexistence amongst people.”
“May Almighty Allah forgive all his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Jannatul Fiddausi. What is being left between us and him, is prayer, prayer and prayer,” he noted.
