FCTA gives reason for electricity blackout on Abuja Airport road

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has said the electricity blackout witnessed on the Abuja Airport road on the night of Wednesday, 21st April  was as a result of faults on the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company’s (AEDC) feeder.

This was stated in a statement issued on Thursday by Anthony Ogunlewe, Chief Press Secretary to the FCT Minister.

The statement reads:

The Federal Capital Territory Administration hereby apologizes to members of the public especially road users along the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway also known as the Airport Road for the electricity blackout that occurred on the night of Wednesday, 21st April 2021.

 

2.   This was as a result of faults on the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company’s (AEDC) feeder.

 

3.   The FCT Administration is in communication with the AEDC for a quick resolution of this problem.

 

4.   Members of the public are hereby assured of the commitment of the FCT Administration to offering the best possible public services to all residents of the FCT.
