Dubai completes first phase of its 10X initiative

The Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation, H.H Sheikh Hmadan bin Mohammed bin Rashid All Malhtoum announced that Dubai has completed the first phase of its 10X initiative, and launched an updated platform to monitor the second phase.

He made this comment during his visit to DFF’s  headquarters in Emirate Tower on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

The Crown Prince of Dubai, the second most powerful emirate of the seven emirates that made up the federation of UAE after Abu Dhabi remarked during his visit saying,

“We are proud of the efforts of those who contributed to the Dubai 10X initiative that was launched to harness the drive and will power of our local talents and to instill a culture of innovation in government work. We have got confidence in continuing to work as one team to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid All Makhtoum for Dubai to become a leader among the world’s cities.”

Dubai 10X is a project that highlights Dubai’s futuristic  vision. By  exploiting disruptive innovation across Dubai’s Government entities, in all aspects of their operation, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum , the Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, envisions a Dubai that is ahead of the world by 10 years. 10X signifies holistic growth, focused on ensuring that the citizens can derive more fulfillment out of their lives by restructuring the functions of Dubai’s government entities.

There are the three integral parts of Dubai’s 10X initiative.

  1. Setting up “X unit” in each Dubai Government entity;

and bringing together the finest forces from the “disruptive” fields of 2. Automation3. Cyber Security

The ” X  Unit” in each government entity is dedicated to research and development in finding ‘disrupting’  solutions for the organisation.

Through automation organization would reduce the man-hours consumed by repetitive tasks and reorganise talent within the organisation. Cyber Security on the other hand would ensure that each company working  towards a smart future is protected from cyber attacks.
