COVID-19 test: NCAA rescues air travelers to Nigeria unable to show evidence of payment, asks airlines to board them

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted permission to airlines to board passengers who are coming into the country but are  unable to either pay for the repeat day-7 COVID-19 PCR test or generate the paid QR code/Permit to fly.

Such passengers will however be required to make payment at their destination airport in Nigeria.

NCC gave the permission to the airlines a memo issued on Saturday, September 11 and signed by its Director General, Captain Musa S. Nuhu.

In granting the permission to board the affected passengers, NCAA said “The Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 has been made aware of challenges some travelers to Nigeria are experiencing while trying to fill their Health and travel history into the Nigerian International Travel Portal (NITP)
