The body of the tech entrepreneur, Fahim Saleh was found decapitated and dismembered in his Manhattan apartment. The body was discovered by his sister who went to check on him. The Police said footage shows professional killer attacking him after sharing elevator.
According to reports, the alarm was raised by one Saleh’s sister on Tuesday, after she became concerned because she had not heard from him for a day.
She went to the seventh floor unit to check on her brother and found his dismembered body in his home.
He had been cut up with a power saw, which was lying nearby and was still plugged in. Police sources said the body parts had been sorted into different plastic bags.
Police believe they have surveillance footage of the suspect entering the building on Monday and then using the elevator.
Video reportedly shows the gloved suspect wearing a hat and mask covering his face, and carrying a bag. He waited to enter the elevator with Saleh.
Mr Saleh was the son of Bangladeshi immigrants born in Saudi Arabia and moved with his family before settling in New York.
After graduating from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, he had early success with PrankDial, an app he invented for making prank telephone calls.
Mr Saleh’s ride-hailing motorcycle start-up, Gokada, began operating in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2018 and raised $5.3 million in venture capital in June 2019 but a ban on commercial motorcycles earlier this year by the Lagos State government drove the company to change its course of business.
