Armed bandits kill vigilante leader in Katsina, eight persons missing

Bandits carrying sophisticated weapons have reportedly killed the leader of vigilante group in Maigora town of  Faskari local government area of Katsina state, Malam Ummaru Balli.

Katsina Post reported that the  incident happened on Sunday night.

“The incident took place in Rimi village in Sabuwa local government when leader of the vigilante and his group tried to repel the bandits attack.

“The vigilante group engaged the bandits in a shoot-out with heavy casualties from both sides.” he said.

The source also disclosed that the eight persons are yet to be rescued.
