JAMBulletin, a weekly publication of the Office of JAMB Registrar reported that the CPN Registrar promised that the Council would deploy relevant technology and professionals to monitor all examination centres remotely and urged candidates to note that anyone who engaged in any misconduct would be fished out and prosecuted. He listed the roles of the Council’s technical officials whom he referred to as “State Technical Assistants” or CPN-STAs as comprising, among others: the controlling and monitoring of all activities within any given State through visiting every CBT centre, ensuring that all CCTV inventories are carried out at all centres in any given State and ensuring the live streaming of all activities in all centres, especially during examination sessions.

Furthermore, the CPN helmsman said the Council would ensure that all physical backups are done and reported to the CPN/JAMB Joint Task Force.

The JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede urged CPN to engage competent hands who are of proven integrity considering the critical nature of their assignments and the importance that the Board attached to the issue of integrity and fairness. He reminded the CPN delegation of the necessity of obtaining NIN by its officials and urged the Council to compile a verifiable list of all the STAs to conclusively ascertain the identities of those it had engaged for the exercise.

To that end, the JAMB Registrar advised the CPN to create a NIN Verification platform similar to the 55019 USSD code being used by the Board to verify the authenticity of NIN provided by the personnel it had engaged to superintend the examinations. He assured the CPN delegation of the Board’s support at all times for the sustenance of the partnership.
